Silver Washed Fritillary

..... in the morning sun. The butterfly book says these are common but the book is 40 years old! I have seen very few of these big butterflies. I think this is a male.

Thanks for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts for the past couple of days. Still staying very local then retreating back home, not like me. Poor David is doing the cooking again!
