My lovely bush rose 'Penelope' is full of gorgeous roses. It's very tall and I was looking up to the sky to take this picture. The light made the petals look almost transparent. I've faffed around with it a bit and I'm pleased with how delicate and soft it looks.

Another good day in the garden. It's been quite windy since lunchtime. French beans have come up and Jim's little wigwam of runner beans (grown from seeds he saved from his last year's bean plant) is looking good.
