Neist Point
Last night we were battered by a gale and torrential rain which has continued right through the day.
We travelled a fairly short distance up the coast but did a number of detours down minor roads including this one to Neist Point. It was blowing an absolute hooley with hail and horizontal rain. This is one of the few rainspot-free pictures that I got and it looked better in mono.
When we arrived at our intended campsite destination we found it to be full but Jane persuaded the nice reception lady to find us a pitch. We are still being battered by gales but we are dry and cosy and have internet (but no phone) connection.
We have booked a ferry from Uig to the outer Hebrides for Tuesday. Hopefully the wind will have abated by then
