Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

This morning was meant to be the best part of the day so we decided a trip to the coast was in order. From Orienteering along this part of the coast we knew the Holbeck car park was a good venue to start a walk and so it proved.

Lots of people enjoying the day too. We walked down past the spa and enjoyed letting Jet have a run on the beach before the dog restrictions started just below the Grand Hotel. Then returned throught the myriad of paths through the Valley Gardens. Not a muddy footpath in sight.

I liked this view from the beach of the Grand Hotel. What you can't see is the number of Seagull nests around the pillars of the bridge. Just to the left of the bridge is the old cliff railway which has been converted into a cafe. The carriages now provide seating with a view back along the coast.

Back home just in time to watch the Brownlee Brothers gain a one two in the Leeds Triathlon.
