Painted Lady Collage

We finally grabbed a brief window of dry weather on Friday to release all our butterflies. Took them to a nearby field edge where there were thistles and other wild plants and let them go. Needless to say the lack of sun made them quite reluctant to go - mostly they sat in the grasses. I hadn't realised before just how beautiful the underside of the wing is too. Felt quite bereft when we got back :)
