Feeling warm

When I went out onto my balcony this morning, a Jackdaw landed in the weeping willow tree. It stayed where it was until I'd fetched a camera inside and even waited to fly off until I'd taken a couple of photos. Even though it didn't feel that hot yet then, the entire time the Jackdaw sat in the tree, it kept its beak open the way birds do when they feel warm. The temperature did go up to 30°C later though.
