What I was looking for!

What a lazy day! I got up to the moth trap at 4.15, stayed up until 5 am, then went back to bed and slept in until nearly 11!! gosh it was nice to have a long lie in, I think burning the candle at both ends and several places in the middle has finally caught up with me !!
After brunch I went out to the very local country park in search of the White-legged damselfly Platycnemis pennipes, and I was lucky enough to find one - surprisingly easily!
The white-legged damselfly or Blue featherleg is described as 'uncommon' although it can be locally abundant on rivers in the south . The males are pale blue with obvious expanded, white legs  which are used in courtship. The female is pale white.
