I've had a very photography orientated day today.
I went to see a photographic exhibition this morning. It was a small collection of pictures taken within the HM Dockyard in areas that Joe Public would never be allowed to go...very interesting and all shot in b&w which made for some very moody subjects!
I then went off for a walk around the small harbour where all the small fishing boats land their catches. Played around with the digital filters on my camera and came away with a few shots that I really like. I also discovered a little part of Portsmouth that I knew very little about. Today's Blip was taken during this stroll. It's of the inside of a 13th century church. It was one of those places that doesn't look much on the outside but step through the door and I was blown away by it's beauty. The roof had been demolished in WW2 and so the sunlight streams through and throws some superb shadows. Unfortunately the time of day that I went meant it was difficult to photograph properly.
This afternoon I dropped off some framed photo's that I have donated to a charity fundraiser. I hope they sell and raise money for a really worthwhile cause :-)
Tonight it's off for dinner with my friend S and then on to the cinema to watch the Sweeney...can't wait!
Hope you're all having a great weekend :-)
