For Zima
The day before yesterday Zima passed away....
She was almost 17 years old which is quite old for a cat like this.
Her kidneys were worn out and she did not drink and eat for quite a few days; according to the vet "she was already stepping out"...
So we decided to let the vet carry out euthanasia.
We buried her in the garden, on top of her son, who passed away a few years ago.
Cause of the kidney problems seems always the food; in alle the food is too much protein.
Zima was on a special diet for quit a long time already but that only slowed down the process.
On the insert Zima is on the left (she has been too fat for years although she was on a diet) and her son Baloe on the right.
Zima came from Ukraine about 16 years ago with my father in law who had visited family out there.
We have put a big stone on her grave and light a candle.
Strange, but we notice that our dog Carst acts different; more quiet than normal, I know, we must not impute human behaviour to an animal but nevertheless, he seems to notice that something has changed....
