memories of a short break

As you see we visited a few places in the last 5 days. Beverley is a lovely market town with a fascinating town trail of its Medieval guilds and Crafts. Hull has William Wilberforce's house and other attractions. I finally got to see Geoff Hamilton's gardens at Barnsdale. We also finally saw Bess of Hardwick's glorious house. Bosworth is worth a visit. The museum is very good with lots of interactive screens and excellent explanations and a walk around the battle site. The day in Oxford finished a lovely week. We stayed in good pubs and B& Bs.
