Late summer harvest

I happened across a farmer harvesting his field this afternoon near home. It looks like he was cutting rapeseed for silage. I was able to pull off the road and captured my blip.

Although it was a nice shot in colour, I prefer it in mono as it shows the texture of grass, the field and the pylon cables better.

A glorious late summer day with temperatures in 20s and the ice cream shop queued out with people on the street and loads of folk enjoying the sunshine at the riverside. What a bonus!
