A Months Rainfall

During a weather forecast yesterday morning, the presenter claimed that a month's worth of rain had fallen on this area during the last 36 hours. Well after yesterday's monsoon we must have used up the next month's quota too.

The Almond has risen dramatically compared to a month ago when you could stand downstream and safely blip the Kirkton Weir.

The force of the water can be shown by the large tree trunk that has been washed down river and is now stuck on the weir, it reminded me of the following song by Slaid Cleaves....sing along and enjoy :-))
