Ladies

I love Cretan old ladies! I'm so frustrated at not being able to talk to them though.

6 days ago we walked past an old lady's house and she invited us in. We had a lovely time chatting with her (okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration it was more like hand signals and J using his biblical/ancient Greek). We rather fell in love with her and have been trying for the last few days to deliver cookies to her but there's been no answer. Today we tried again and met her daughter who told us her mum had died 5 days ago- the day after we visited :( We're all feeling rather sad.
