Katy and I were talking about self perpetuating idiosyncrasies in different medical specialties.

The anaesthesia holy triumvirate is coffee, Apple & cycling. What also comes with it is cynicism, dark humour and a slightly aloof arrogance. All of this normalised and then exacerbated by the people around you who already tended towards a certain personality type even before starting anaesthetics. Probably not very healthy really, although Katy works hard to keep me on the straight and narrow.
