As near as dammit......

.....this is the site of our first allotment about 40 years ago when we lived a couple of streets away.....it was rented from what was then 'British Rail' (ah, halcyon days!) for £10 a year as far as I remember and we had to climb over a fence to get to it because they wouldn't give us permission to put in a gate. It's now part of the 'Station Masters Community Wildlife Garden' and these days boasts it's very own throne....we made do with a raggy ex-local-authority deckchair rescued from a skip ;-) I took the walk down memory lane on the way back from the docs (annual health check thingy) The extra is of the pond, looking nice despite the distinct lack of blue skies!
