Life in Newburgh on Ythan

Grabbing the best seats

Another morning pottering around Peterhead harbour.
As I entered the town I was surprised to see people (not many) lining the streets, more bobbies than I have seen in quite a while and a helicopter landing nearby.
All became clear when I checked the news; Prince Charles, known as the Duke of Rothesay when north of the border, was in town. When I took this photograph he was visiting the maritime Institute, the building at the extreme left. The gulls had a splendid view!

The "extra" shows fishing boats queuing to fill up with ice at the ice factory. For preserving the fish, not for toasting the Duke!
