Meet the New Addition to the Family...

Yes, the car search is finally over and have we bought a car!

It's nothing like we were looking for.  It's not a 4x4 SUV with elevated driving position.  It's not the sensible Audi A4 Saloon we went to test drive.  Oh no, no no.  It's an all new Audi A5 3.0 TDI quattro Coupé S Line, the absolute last car we would have thought would have been perfect for me to get in and out of, but it's the complete opposite.  Of all the cars we've looked at, this one has been the easiest for me to get in and out of, by far.  

We spotted it as soon as we went into the showroom and had a little look - just for a giggle - then test drove the A4 Saloon, which was lovely, but we couldn't get this particular A5 out of our heads.

Back at the showroom and we knew the A4 wasn't for us.  

The lovely saleswoman knew we were smitten with the A5 and informed us that it was a bit of a bargain as this particular car is the manager's special that he ordered with all the bells and whistles to have one car that had all the kit for demo purposes and the deal offered basically meant the car was being sold with the bulk of the high spec kit for free.  Too good a deal to ignore.  I am so excited! 

As we are giving up our separate cars to have one car, I really felt the new car had to one we would both be excited to be getting, with as little compromise (or at least equal compromise) by either of us as possible.   Well there is absolutely zero compromise with this one and we are both over the moon!  Getting the Registration plate sorted and hopefully we will be driving it to its new home VERY soon.

PS And the colour is Daytona Grey
