Tommy

hi all, two weeks ago I went to my avian vet Peter Bastiaansen with Tommy again for his beaky and also for the way he now and than poops... he has difficulties with that and at these moments he poops like an Australian Lorikeet. His cloaca looked fine, his poop was good too. Beaky trimmed and off we went again. I also first changed the Zupreem Fruitblend pellets to Zupreem natural blend pellets... but no change. Today after work he had another lori poop again lol and my my.... what a horrible smell! 
Going back to my own avian vet dr. Peter isn't possible for a while because he is ill. We (me and my birdies) are quite worried about him, but we hope that he will heal fully and that he takes the time he needs to get better. Please, get well dr. Peter! You are so missed. As a human friend but also as a very good avian vet!!

So.. I have an appointment with dr. Yvonne van Zeeland from Department of Clinical Sciences of Companion Animals, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht University for Tommy. The wonderful avian specialist who diagnosed Mickey with Cushings disease and treated Fluffy for about 1,5 years.
I am going to her not as a specialist but for a regular clinic visit, because that now is possible too at this University clinic. Not going to the clinic of dr. Peter only if he will be back.
Here a video I tried to take of Tommy while he is pooping.. you can see it doesn't go as normal as usual. Also his beaky still looks a bit slanting when closed.. we are going to Utrecht next week, Friday June 23.....
By the way. I for now bought Harisson's pellets for him and since today he gets these... I have quite some packages of Zupreem, but if I won't need these anymore I will see if someone can use them for their bird (in NL)
