Back in Cleveland....

I was amazed to see two deer running down the street this afternoon. They leapt over the neighbours' fence and then spent some time looking trapped, bewildered and frightened, panting in the 33 degree heat. Nobody was quite sure what to do and a few moments after I grabbed this shot they were over some more fences and gone. Their fate may not be good I fear, this is the middle of suburbia and they are well out of their comfort zone. There are some wooded areas a little distance away, but across several multi-lane highways. In the month that we have been here, we have seen the evidence here and there where some have strayed too far from the woods and not survived.
