The old Geelong Sewage Aqueduct

The bridge hiding in this photo is becoming very well known in our household as M becomes the last to complete the Grade5/6 government building project....it is her choice to create a model of this century old edifice which was once the longest concrete structure in the world. This week's task was to create blueprints (plans) of the structure so we went to take pictures to help her understand how it fits into the Geelong landscape. It is quite beautiful and hopefully will one day be made safe enough to allow public access again.

Incidentally....A made a model of Old Government House in Parramatta; R did his own classroom and C the Peace Memorial in Geelong....a varied collection but maybe it's time for the teachers to rethink the curriculum tasks.
