Pump house?

I went for a wee wander today with my camera even though the weather was far from great. I have not really taken that many outdoor shots so I thought I would give it a go. I am guessing the only way to improve is to try new things. I bumped into a couple that were out walking their dog and pointed me towards the building in the shot. It is totally hidden from the road so i never knew it was there. I was told that it was the pump house for this place. No idea if its true or not.
