Waiting for Mum

We left our digs in Moffat and drove home via Leighton Moss Nature Reserve. I'd managed to lose my binoculars somewhere in the wilds of North Uist so called at the reserve to get a new pair. I wouldn't have bought new ones but the replacement pair are much better than the old ones so I'm very pleased with my purchase.

We had a short walk arounf the reserve and this baby robin was sitting on a bench. It must just have fledged as it didn't look capable of flying far. Hopefully it's mother will be back to look after it.

Back home now after a great holiday.
