The longest day

I took this short whilst out for a lunchtime walk. The weather was beautiful, balmy. However - 

Terrible to watch the Grenfell fire news today. We sat there after work thinking how sad it must be for the families of those who died and those made homeless and were grateful for what we have. When ordinary people suffer a loss like that it is a genuine tragedy. Not proving a great year for London, what with the terrorist incidents and now this.

On a personal level several of us at work remembered a colleague killed in a moped accident in Vietnam two years ago today. TSM shared an office space with him and was very tearful. 

Midsummer may still be over a week away but for some people this will have been the longest day.
