Evangelical Sunset
The blipfoto shows the sun setting at Kalamaki Harbour, over the church there. I thought I'd call it Evangelical as that starts with an 'E' for the Wide Angle Wednesday challenge!
We did the Samaria gorge walk yesterday and on the way back to our apartment we past Kalamaki at 8.30pm when the sun was setting and it looked gorgeous. As it is only half hour drive from Afrata where we are staying I thought we'd return and get the sun setting over the church for wide angle wednesday challenge. As I spent a while taking photo's Mrs BB chatted to two greek ladies on the harbour wall. The one translated for her elderly mother. Delightful company.
After yesterday's walk we decided to spend the day on the local beach in Afrata, about two minutes drive down the hill from our room. Six hours in paradise there went so quick.
On the way home from taking the sunset photo at Kalamaki harbour, we stopped off at the local taverna in Afrata, about two minutes walk from our room and enjoyed a few drinks and some food. The owners 9 year old son entertained us with some rap music. It's was all greek but he was obviously happy - last day in school tomorrow for many weeks!
