On the edge of the Plain

When you live on the edge of Salisbury Plain, you can enjoy (or put up with) noisy nights filled with gun fire and flares.

(We woke to news of the tragedy unfolding at Grenfell Tower. I had to turn off the TV and radio. It was too unbearable to contemplate.)
