Fallen Tree
Spending the week down in the Lake District with the family and my Mum and Dad. It really is a brilliant past of the world and for anyone who enjoys landscape photography, its a dream.
So many happy memories of Keswick over loads of years and especially down at Derwentwater - the lake that lies at the foot of Keswick itself - Brought the kids down today and after a couple of hours playing in the water with the inflatable boat and jumping/diving of the pier at Hawes End, we headed back to the house we are staying at in the wee village of Millbeck which lies at the foot of Skiddaw.
Before that, the Jonathan had found this fab tree that had fallen over, one must assume, many years ago but the roots were still intact - and this has allowed it to continue to grow......there is a picture in there somewhere and maybe another time I may just unravel it - enough to say that even when life may "knock us over", if our roots are still firmly planted in a place of nourishment and life, we, like this tree, will continue to grow....
