This is what happens when you have "too many irons in't fire"
I intended on being at The Treasurers House to see the bride arrive, I mis-heard the time info and had 12.30 in my useless little head.
I arrived at 12.02 to to be told the wedding party were already IN.... "look, there's the bride's train" said the lovely lady, and she was very lovely indeed as she let me sneak in and get this photo of father and daughter just before they walked thru-to Here comes the sun- for him to give her away and her to become Mrs.
I got back to the village in time to go for a six mile walk with M then home to set about baking a cake and some biscuits to take to The Aboretum at Castle Howard tomorrow where I will be volunteering for the weekend at the Wild About Wood event.
As the Bride and Groom are a village couple- both born and bred here- we felt it our duty to gate-crash the evening do.... what a fab DO it was, all the right people.
A really superb Wilton wedding.
Thank you to Adrian and Gina, may you remain as happy as you were tonight.
