The Wishing Well

10.35pm and I'm not long home. We have been in Dublin all day for an event which Mrs.Joesblips needed to attend.
Guess who overtook us on the way home....... yes, the same guys, in the same Isuzu pick up as featured stealing sand in my blip yesterday. I wonder what thwy were up to today!
For those who don't understand the problem. Taking sand off public beaches in Ireland became an illegal practice a few years ago. I think the infamous Hurricane Charlie might have something to do with the decision. We have realised that as a small island we need to protect our beaches and coastal defences carefully. So much meterial was being removed from some sites that it was becoming a big erosion issue. Coastal farmers were the biggest culprits but cowboy builders also had some part to play. The guys in the Isuzu are certainly not farmers.
The Australian based band, The Wishing Well were playing at the top of Grafton Street in Dublin today. They were not busking as such but simply playing and selling their CD's. Very nice playing it was too.
