Dandelions

Another hot and sunny day - this field of dandelions being all yellow and bright just seemed to symbolise the summer's day we enjoyed today.

Another busy day, back and forth to the new house checking on the wallpaper man and the carpet fitter who has to relay part of a carpet that was lifted when some built in wardrobes were fitted. The fence has now been completed so I may start taking Murdoch with me so he gets used to the new garden.

Luke arrives home today, he had to pack up all his things and move out of his house, as the next academic year is his year abroad so he won't be back at Durham until his final and 4th year. He said it was hard saying goodbye to many friends who won't be there when he gets back for his 4th year as their degrees are 3 years long and they will be finished by then. He has finally found accommodation in Paris - not the apartments we found on the website on Saturday, those had all gone by the time the  agent replied on Monday. Still he has found a tiny studio apartment in a good area so he should be happy there. I will probably go over to Paris with him to help him move in before he starts work, which is in a couple of week's time.

Two more GCSE's for Thomas tomorrow and then he has finally finished his GCSE's - phew, they certainly go on and on. He does have an additional further maths exam on Tuesday though so not quite out of the woods just yet.
