35C even in Casentino
I went out to the Casentino to re-engage with the housing market before a return to Oxford for a few days on Saturday. It was roasting. The hay is still being brought in. People say It's too hot and too dry for June.
Bought a coffee on the way at the top of the Consuma pass. Bought a local paper with a very moving account of a young Italian couple presumed dead in the Grenfell Tower horror. Brought tears to my eyes.
Strange how the Italian papers are much less circumspect about naming presumed victims.
Saw three houses. One that has been on the radar for a while. 15HA of land. Much to do but a fabulous position and potential.
One step at a time.
Mum is in a very nice residential recuperation place. My sister went in this morning to find her busy making bunting with the other ladies. I've often worried about how crippling boredom and loneliness must be in older age.
