Solway sunset

Glad I went back indoors for the camera or I would have missed this fabulous sunset.  Met my friend with the two Boxers as I was walking back to the car.  Haven't seen her or the dogs for a few weeks so good to see them and to catch up.  We stopped chatting at 10.15 and it was still fairly light.

Went to Crummock this morning as haven't been there for ages.  Misty had some playtime with a few other dogs which is always good.  Have put one in extras.  Stopped off at Craggs coffee shop on the way home for some cheese scones which looked delicious and were freshly baked.  There must be a trend in coffee and tea rooms at the moment as some of them are using sweet scone mixture in cheese scones.  Take it from me it doesn't work.  Houghton Hall are doing the same apparently.  Anyhow the birds got a feast :)

Spotted two dead bats on the path at the back this morning.  When I got home several hours later they'd gone!
