Rebuilding

Setting off from Chesham at 7.45 a.m. I was amazed to reach Tiptree with no hold ups at all on with the M25 or the A12 - maybe because most of the rush hour traffic was travelling in the opposite direction. I arrived early enough to take Mum to church for the Thursday communion service, which I know she appreciated because we have the thyroid appointment at Colchester General next week and therefore won't be able to go then.

We had our afternoon cup of tea (and a shared chocolate brownie which was particularly gooey) in the recently rebuilt restaurant at The Barn nurseries. Dad wouldn't have recognised the place, but we agreed he would have loved what they've done with it. Here's Mum enjoying her refreshments there looking elegant, as ever.
