Ruskin's other view

On the days I'm in the office, I can manage my steps by walking to Asda at lunchtime and then taking a roundabout walk to Booths in the evening, which is why you're enjoying a few more landscape shots.

Ruskin's view is usually taken to be from a point just beyond the edge of the churchyard, looking out towards Barbon but I'm guessing he loved the whole panorama from this vantage point on the hillside looking out over all of the Lune valley. 

Funny, too, to think that Ruskin must have wandered around the streets of Kirkby Lonsdale that are so familiar to me and maybe even had a pint at the Sun Inn.
