Schools Out!

Leaving upper secondary school is a real rite of passage for the young people involved. This year it's the turn of Ruth's first child Pia.
Here she has just come out onto the stage with her classmates. Thay have sung a song and a "cannon" has just bombarded them with gold stars.
In a while they will stand on the back of an open truck and take part in a cavalcade around town. Each truck has it's own sound system running and there is a real carnival atmosphere.  Later a meal for family and friends and then Pia will be off to town for another all-night party!
A big event and Pia's grandparents have come over from Ireland and her uncle up from Switzerland!
