Life in NYC

Christopher Street Subway, Greenwich Village

The New York subway system is crammed with public art. I don't always like all of it but I'm glad it's there. This is from a series of mosaic panels titled "Greenwich Village Murals," by Lee Brozgol, installed in 1994. Featuring bohemian Village luminaries from times past, the murals were designed with help from local students.
