Night Ride

From downtown Phoenix to downtown Tempe. 11.5 miles down the canal with Police escort. There were at least 100 riders, including the fully faired recumbent tricycle owned by Richard, a very nice guy who I now envy enormously for not only his machine shop, but his seemingly endless collection of great bikes (and trikes).

The ride down to Tempe was pretty slow. But on the way back, I was with just a few of the guys from the shop so we managed a higher speed and a more lively conversation. I haven't bombed through a big city late at night since I was in college, I really enjoyed it. I think we might have to get leather jackets now.
