Hanging about...

As long as I've had a camera I've been taking poppy photographs and quite honestly about 99% all look similar!   Every now and again I grab a shot that I think is different.  This one was an accidental exposure, I wanted the detail in the heart of the flower and in focussing in on that the metering has compensated for the lack of light.  Consequently the leaves on the big Himalayan Poppy are overexposed, bleached out or whatever you like to call it.  I was very tempted to posterise part of the image to add to the effect but I resisted 'playing around'.  I suspect it may look best as an enlarged view.
