Just a little sundew

I wasn't aware that these little plants are actually carnivorous and that there are at least 194 species identified to date. Such pretty little plants and very common throughout the Perth hills on the rocky granite outcrops.

It's been a busy day spent with my friend AM who is stopping overnight in Perth on her way up to Exmouth. We had a lovely morning walk with the dogs to get breakfast, then out to John Forrest National Park for a red-tailed black cockatoo release, then off to the tavern for a celebratory beer before heading out for some amazing Japanese food tonight at a wonderful little restaurant called 'Kuza'.

So many photos today but I've always loved the sundews - today there was even sun shining on them!
