Tern Nesting Raft, Montrose Basin

Visited the local Nature Reserve this afternoon  -  first time for ages.  I wanted to see how the Tern Nesting Raft was coming along. This project provides a dedicated nesting raft for Arctic and Common Terns in the Montrose Basin Local Nature Reserve. This encourages the birds to breed in the safety of the reserve and diverts them from urban areas where they can cause disruption.  You can read more about it HERE!  There are hundreds of terns nesting there at the moment  -  I tried to get some close-ups but they all came out blurred:(   Maybe I should've had a two-foot long telelens like the fellow next to me!  Have a nice weekend, everyone:)
