A lovely day....
with temperatures of 23 with a strong wind to make walking comfortable. Walked up the river, besieged by Sandpipers, Wrens and Pipits all with nests and young. The tributary beds alongside the main flow are so dry the Thyme, Kidney vetch and Birds Foot trefoil are growing really well, making colourful patches among white stones and boulders. Crossed uponto the high moor, as in the main picture, to see how the Osprey was faring. She was sitting tight and this time I saw the male too. Returning home after lunch, visited the lochans and was rewarded with some sightings of the Four Spotted Chasers, so put one in the extra.
Lovely day.
