Bransdale looking towards Cockayne
Today we made the most of the excellent weather (and apparently the hottest day so far this year) and did a lovely cycle ride up Bransdale.
It is a lovely idyllic valley in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park which is described by the National Trust as a hidden gem.
It was a bit on the hilly side, but we were spurred on by signs advertising tea and cakes at the church in Cockayne which is right at the top of the valley. This was also the perfect lunch stop - see today's extra.
After lunch it was back via Helmsley to Nunnington Hall where we started.
