Cumbria Here I Come

A Valley walk

An early start this morning for a walk in the Langstrath Valley alongside the beck.  Have been wanting to go there for ages having seen some wonderful blips.  On  the opposite side of the beck to me and Misty was a constant stream of people wearing green tee shirts.  There were hundreds and hundreds of them.  I found out later on they were on a sponsored walk from Keswick to Ambleside for Macmillan Cancer Support.  Its a very long walk, over 20 miles!  On the way back to the car a few hours later I met the last person, a lady with Fibromyalgia.  She was already some two hours behind everybody else.  She had somebody helping her.  I really hope she made it as she was walking extremely slowly and had lots of uphill sections still to do.

Anyhow what a fantastic place to walk, will have to go back.  Clocked up 17,500 steps!  Lots of people cooling off in the beck and even swimming.  Lots of dogs too and what seems to be the norm these days dogs chasing sheep!!!!   Its been so hard to decide what to blip so a couple in extras.
