Klewenalp, Brisenhuis (SAC), Haldigrat

Breakfast on the lake terrace in full sunshine, but high up above the mountains, there was still fog and clouds lingering. We took the boat at 9am to Beckenried and cabin up to Klewenalp. Coffee first waiting for the clouds to lift and then walking to Brisenhuis (SAC) - blip. Rösti there before continuing to Haldigrat where we turned around to come back to Klewenalp and down to Beckenried. 20km and 900m altitude.

Extras include views towards Lucerne, Rigi and Schwyz.

Wonderful relaxing boat ride back to Hertenstein with the steam paddler Gallia. Quick swim in the cold lake before getting ready for dinner.

Green salad, steak tartar, local cheese and a Malbec from Neuchâtel (Grillet) for dinner outside at the lake. Ending the long day on our terrace at 11pm. Still warm and calm lake.
