Vallis mill

I have annual leave this weekend as Neil originally planned to go away but later changed his plans. So instead we are enjoying a relaxing family weekend together.
After a lazy start, we went for a long walk around Vallis with the boys. This is one of our favourite walks, through woodland with a pretty little river and plenty to occupy the boys. We spotted lots of wildlife and managed to look around the derelict mill that's about 1 hour up the track. Apparently it's now a site of 'ancient monument status' and scientific interest! It's very interesting and fascinating to look around, we even found one of the old water wheels (somewhat broken and difficult to recognise).
Back home to dinner and bath time for 2 sleepy little boys and out to the food shop for me, to get a few bits for tomorrow (hopefully a picnic at the beach!).
