"Built in 1924, the Gareloch One Design Class numbered just 16 beautiful ton and a half, classically profiled yachts, designed and built by McGruers. It is doubtful whether anyone in 1924 would have expected the entire fleet to be racing today but the Class does remain in great heart and rejuvenated after much celebration of its 90th anniversary in 2014"


Today the fleet were in Largs after a wind on 'the nose' sail from Helensburgh

The boats in the foreground illustrate the simple lines while three others dressed overall provide the colour !
