Below the window

This afternoon I completed the first stage of getting the library/study organised. I've emptied the boxes of books, onto bookshelves where we can go through them more easily to decide which ones to not keep. There are still too many boxes and piles of paper, put onto vacant shelves rather than cold bloodedly disposed of. Will I read or re-read these papers? Is there value in my notes from long past meetings? Many more questions, and action is deferred once again. 

Immediately behind where I stood to take this photo is a row of three bookshelves acting as a less than ceiling height "wall" of books between the study and the store room. The pleasure of having an open space for the first time is my reward for the effort in achieving it.
