Happy Father's Day

It seems I have received a new daughter as a Father's Day gift. Our exchange student,  from the US is wonderful. Polite, friendly, appreciative and, best of all, mad about manga, anime, cosplay and a big Star Wars fan. A poor quality photo, unfortunately, because, for too complicated reasons, I had to take a photograph of a print out, but this is the first of what I am sure will be many happy memories. Funny thing - without consulting, her and I both wore denims and red T-shirts with white writing on. She is already calling me "Dad" and I am already thinking of her as "daughter."

This is what international cultural exchange is all about.
