A Day At A Time.

Sunday House

This beautiful church on the way up to ADANA has, we think, been converted into a home.

We spent a lovely hour with Duke, walking in the hills and splashing in the little river to cool off.

Then, as we were leaving, we spotted a little podenco, frightened and frail on the road. She had just been abandoned by some callous bastard, just dumped out of a car to die.

I picked her up and cradled her in my arms as I walked her back to ADANA. The girls there took her in and immediately started to administer some first aid. She was in a very poor state and in an advanced stage of leishmaniasis, a parasitic disease common amongst dogs here.

Whether she will survive will remain to be seen. With luck she will be there next Saturday when we return to see Duke.

Only 13 days until he comes home with us.
