Chambord
We cycled east in to the wind for 7 miles along the banks of the Loire looking across the river to the prettily situated Chateaux Menars before heading south through woods - again warnings of wild boar, but we saw none - to Chateaux de Chambord, set in parkland. The architecture is so intricate.
We were able to cycle around the grounds free of charge and eat our picnic under some shade near where I took the blip. We cycled back a different way through some woods, vineyards and barleyfields and rustic villages - we were gagging for a beer by the time we got back - it was very hot, 30 degrees which is over 80 in old money and 20 miles.
