Wymondham Abbey

The pronounciation is a bit different from the spelling! Just ignore all the middle bits and call it "Windham". Not sure what language it's from but there you go.

We had a rather more relaxed day today, just picking one location to visit. It was pretty interesting - the abbey bit was ruined of course, but there was a church built into a remaining part of it with some crazy intricate medieval wood carving in the ceilings, and a very impressive display at the front commemmorating soldiers in the First World War (seen here). Not super old but still pretty amazing looking in the sun.

We also visited Worthing (the Norfolk version!) for laughs. It's actually just a small backwater village, but heyho. It's been confusing our Google Maps results for years so it was worth seeing!
